[KING OF PRUSSIA, PA] – March 22, 2019 – Radial, a bpost group company, announced today a new partnership with OPEX Corporation to pilot the organization’s Sure Sort™ technology, a robotics-based, automated put wall system that identifies and sorts items into individual orders quickly and efficiently in one pass.
Through a pre-integrated, modular stack of technologies and technology-driven operational services, Radial already arms retailers with the tools they need to meet both clients and consumers expectations through order management, payments, fraud protection, fulfillment, supply chain services and customer care. Sure Sort will build upon existing Radial systems that help the world’s top brands and retailers drive a seamless and cost-effective customer experience from start to finish.
“Radial is one of the top companies in omnichannel technology and order fulfillment and we are honored to partner with them to help streamline their order sortation process with the installation of Sure Sort,” said Jeff Hedges, President of OPEX Warehouse Automation.
The Sure Sort system scans, then automatically sorts and deposits items of a variety of sizes to their appropriate packaging station, reducing the amount of time and effort employees spend manually organizing products. The system removes the need for additional put walls and provides efficiencies with regard to sorting time and streamlining the overall supply chain processes.
Hedges adds, “One fully configured Sure Sort can easily replace 6 manual put walls, providing an increased number of sort locations without taking up valuable space inside your warehouse.”
Sure Sort is a highly scalable, configurable and cost-effective sorting system that delivers parcels and individual items at unmatched rates of up to 2,400 items per hour. In addition, the system decreases overall error rates, ensuring a smoother and more accurate sorting process from start to finish.
“Sure Sort is the only technology currently available that can deliver the level of speed and accuracy that our clients desire,” said Brad Taylor, Senior Director of Engineering Solutions at Radial. “Retailers are looking for solutions that allow a maximum amount of throughput, especially during the peak seasons when the volume of orders increases exponentially. This pilot program will provide the opportunity to see how this technology and partnership with the Sure Sort system could help us manage orders more effectively, and provide insight into how brands could sell more products in the long-run.”
Sure Sort is the latest in a suite of next generation technologies offered by Radial in an effort to streamline efficiency and provide clients with the service they need. Most recently, Radial launched a partnership with Locus Robotics to increase warehouse productivity through the use of independent, autonomous mobile robots that reduce employee fatigue and simplify the picking process.
