What Matters to Retailers: Retail Dive Study
Our recent study, conducted in collaboration with Industry Dive’s studioID, reveals key priorities and challenges facing retailers in 2024. From AI implementation to logistical hurdles, we’ve uncovered valuable insights to help guide your strategy in the last quarter of the year.
Key findings include:
- AI adoption is on the rise, with over half of respondents either currently using AI or exploring its potential for their operations
- 99% of retailers plan to enhance their forecasting capabilities to better anticipate product demand and stay ahead of market trends
- Order processing speed (43%) and order accuracy (41%) remain top challenges in the fulfillment process

Returns Study: Optimizing the Post-Purchase Experience
Returns management continues to be a critical aspect of the eCommerce ecosystem. Our recent study explores consumer expectations and best practices for returns. Here are some key points:
- Nearly 1/3 of consumers are unlikely to shop with a retailer after a poor returns experience.
- Nearly half of consumers (48%) will avoid making a return if there is an out-of-pocket cost for shipping. Another 43% are hesitant to pay the fee but may consider it depending on the cost of the return.
- 70% of consumers prefer to use an online return portal for returns, highlighting the importance of a seamless digital experience.
- 50% of consumers consider sustainability important or very important in the returns process.
These and other study findings emphasize the need for retailers to streamline their returns processes and consider sustainability in their reverse logistics operations.
